Norwell Farms partners with schools & communities in the South Shore to offer children the chance to participate in growing, harvesting and tasting food grown at our farm and learning about sustainable, local farming. If you are a parent, teacher, or administrator and would like to learn more about our work, please contact us at email@example.com.
We encourage schools to tour the farm and receive a lesson with our farm educators. Kids love to learn about the historic farmhouse located at the farm, as well as the historic barns, explore fields, meet our chickens, and have a vegetable tasting.
Contact Hilary Desmond at firstname.lastname@example.org to organize a field trip for your school.
Come join our Farm Educator for a farm story, tour of the farm and a small craft or activity. Meet the chickens, taste some veggies and come explore our learning gardens. This class is suitable for pre-school aged children who are accompanied by a guardian.
- Pre-registration is required. $5/Child
- Storytime is outside so is weather dependent.
Starting in Spring 2017 we will offer a weekly hands-on program that involves children in our everyday farming operations - from taking care of the animals to starting seeds in the greenhouse to transplanting seedlings into the vegetable garden. Every week we will read a farm story, do seasonal farm work and take care of the farm animals.
